Game Boy Color was compatible with hundreds of original Game Boy games, and also played games that were specially enhanced for Game Boy Color (though it cannot play Game Boy Advance games). Game Boy Color was available in many colors including Teal, Kiwi, Grape, Ice, Atomic Purple and the Green & Gold ‘Limited Edition’. The Game Boy Color has sold over 1 million units of hardware in this country – and over 3 million games!!!
